CHURCH
pros
- close to wedding - no driving
- we can get as freaky as we wanna be/ increased personal expression space
- more control over environment (no outside public like there would be at Spoke)
- potentially more expensive because...
- caterer and alcohol more expensive than at Artz (maybe cost increase of ~$400 or more?)
- much more planning required - caterer, decorations, music, lighting, clean-up
ARTZ/SPOKE
pros
- potentially less expensive because...
- food is a fixed price
- spoke has live band and dancing so I don't have to plan this
- artz room is smaller so not as much decorating required
- no dishwashing/cleanup
- bartender/waiter automagically supplied
- more driving - three places instead of one or two
- personal expression on dance floor and dance space limited at Spoke
- less control over environment (random members of public at Spoke although we'd have our own section)
What do y'all think? Based on the pros and cons I list here, it seems like the Artz/Spoke is the way to go but the personal expression thing is kind of really important when it's our wedding, but I'm sure not sure because I don't feel like planning stuff like a caterer and cleanup and music for 4+ hours. Please reply... Also if you think of any more pros and cons, let me know. Thank you in advance!

Are you open to other possibilities? I might be able to help you brainstorm.
Sure! I'm open to other possibilities.
After I talked to you guys (or maybe it was just Brad?) the other day, I have been thinking about it a bit. I vote for Artz for sure. The less logistics you have to deal with the better, particularly with Brad in Australia. Also, Artz just sounds like it would be more fun for a reception than a church. People only let loose so much at a church location, you know? Anyway, those are my two cents for what they are worth. Thanks for including me in the blog! I look forward to meeting the other planning gals!
Thanks for the feedback!
HI Sally -- I really think Art-zzz is the way to go! Easy (not cheesy). I'm already lusting for BBQ... and we both will have more important things to do the week before. PLUS FUN!!!
